Each Tenderer must quote for each and every item in the tender form but the Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves to itself the right of accepting ALL or ANY PART of a tender.
Contractors will be required to give security for the due fulfilment of contracts.

No. 8. 389.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Strengthening Bus Routes-Hong Kong", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 29th day of September, 1941. The work comprises resurfacing in concrete and subsidiary works that portion of Queen's Road West from Kennedy Town Praya to Pokfulam Road.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $5,000.00 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
