A BILL

An Ordinance to amend further the Hong Kong Corps of Air
Raid Wardens Ordinance, 1940.
BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Corps Short title. of Air Raid Wardens (No. 2) Amendment Ordinance, 1941.
2. Paragraph (e) of section 2 of the Hong Kong Corps of Air Raid Wardens Ordinance, 1940, as enacted by section 2 of the Hong Kong Corps of Air Raid Wardens Amendment Ordinance, 1941, is repealed and the following paragraph is substituted therefor:
(e) "members includes officers, subordinate officers, Air Raid Wardens, Warden Telephonists, Wardens (Com- munications), Wardens (Tunnels), Wardens (Motor Cyclists), Wardens (Fire Watchers and Fighters), House Wardens and Honorary Air Raid Wardens.

Objects and Reasons.
1. The principal Ordinance, No. 6 of 1940, defined "members as including officers, subordinate officers, Air Raid Wardens, House Wardens and Honorary Air Raid Wardens.
2. The Amendment Ordinance, No. 6 of 1941, sub- stituted a wider definition so as to include the above and also Warden Telephonists.
3. Continued expansion of the Corps has resulted in the creation of the additional classifications of Wardens (Com- munications), Wardens (Tunnels), Wardens (Motor Cyclists) and Wardens (Fire Watchers and Fighters).
4. The object of this Bill is to add these additional classes to those already included in the definition of members.
