NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 26th May, 1941, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Firing Areas D" and "E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice as under is notified for 27th May, 1941:

(a) Heavy gun firing between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Firing Area "E" will be affected. Alternative date- 28th May, 1941.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 28th May, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 29th May, 1941 :-

(a) Reserved between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. for heavy anti- aircraft practice in the western area of the Island as alternative date for similar practice detailed for 22nd and 23rd May, 1941.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 30th May, 1941 :-

(a) Reserved between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. for heavy anti- aircraft practice in the western area of the Island as alternative date for similar practice detailed for 22nd and 23rd May, 1941.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
