Notes:-) A restricted ferry service will be maintained by the Star Ferry and the Hong Kong & Yaumati Ferry between Hong Kong and Kowloon subject to the provisions of paragraph 2 (1) which includes naviga- tion lights, and in this connexion the prescribed pier lights at Hong Kong and Kowloon will be permitted provided that such lights cannot be seen from above and do not throw any light on the

water.

(ii) Should the "Air Raid Warning" Signal be given while the ferry is under way, she must proceed to the nearest safe anchorage or pier until such time as the "Raiders Passed" Signal has been sounded.

No. 8. 51.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Chinese Cemeteries", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 17th day of February, 1941, for the supply of labour and material for Chinese Cemeteries in Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Kowloon and New Territories from 1st April, 1941 to 31st March, 1942.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification, contract and further particulars apply at this Office.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a contract in the form supplied to tenderers.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

The Government does not bind itself to place all work or any specific work required in the hands of the accepted contractor.
