No. S. 42. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for making, clearing and repairing Forestry Paths and Fire Barriers, 1941", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 10th day of February, 1941, for making, clearing and repairing forestry paths and fire barriers for the Botanical and Forestry Department.
For forms of tender, specifications and further particulars apply at this Office.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $50 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person shall refuse to carry out his tender, should his tender be accepted.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Teuder for the Supply of Labour and Stores, Botanical and Forestry Department", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 10th day of February, 1941, for the supply of labour and stores to the Botanical and Foresty Department for the period from the 1st April, 1941 to the 31st March, 1942 inclusive.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 44.-It is hereby notified that scaled tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Tender for Wo Hop Shek Cemetery road", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 10th day of February, 1941, for constructing a new road to the Cemetery at Wo Hop Shek.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $4,000 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
