No. 1444. His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :-

Ordinance No. 8 of 1941.-An Ordinance to amend the Miscellaneous Licences

Ordinance, 1933.

Ordinance No. 12 of 1911.-An Ordinance to amend the Buildings Ordinance,

1935.

Ordinance No. 14 of 1941.-An Ordinance to incorporate Trustees capable of holding property and empowered to administer two trust funds known as The Chater (Cathe- dral) Endowment Fund and The Chater (St. Andrew's Church) Endowment Fund for the purpose of assisting in the maintenance of St. John's Cathedral and St. Andrew's Church in this Colony.

Ordinance No. 15 of 1941.-An Ordinance to amend the Crown Rents (Appor-

tionment) Ordinance, 1936.

No. 1445.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Commander THOMAS CHARLES STIFF, R.D., R.N.R. (Retired), to be Deputy Controller of Water Transport.

No. 1446.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Messrs. ERNEST HILLAS WILLIAMS and WALTER PHILIP THOMPSON to be members of the Board of Examiners, with effect from 17th November, 1941.

1st December, 1941.

No. 1447.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following to be a Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong :-
