ORDINANCE No. 38 of 1932. (PRISONS).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Prisons Ordinance, 1932, the Governor in Council amends the Rules made under section 18 of the Prisons Ordinance, No. 4 of 1899, appearing on pages 181 to 257 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, as amended by the Rules made on the 7th May, 1931, published as Government Notification No. 288 in the Gazette of 11th May, 1931, as follows:-
Amendment.
The dietary scales appearing under the headings:---
"Class 1 for Europeans-
(a) For Men with Hard Labour.
(b) For Men without Hard Labour, Women and Juveniles.
Class 2 for Europeans--
(a) For Men with Hard Labour.
(b) For Men without Hard Labour, Women, Juveniles, Debtors. Misdemeanants of
First Class, Prisoners on remand and awaiting Trial,"
are rescinded and the following scale is substituted therefor :-
