COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, His Excellency the Governor hereby further amends the Civil Defence Corps Regulations, 1941, (published in the Gazette of 4th July, 1941, as Government Notification 804 and amended by Government Notification 1237 of 17th October, 1941) by the addition of the following to the schedule thereto-
Auxiliary Rescue and Demolition Corps.
This amendment shall be incorporated and printed in the Second Edition of the volume of Hong Kong War Emergency Legislation prepared under the Hong Kong Defence Regula- tions, etc., (Collection and Proof) Regulations, 1941.

ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).
His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, pursuant to Section 11 (7) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939, to permit the following persons to quit the Hong Kong Defence Reserve:-
Thomas, William Herbert Evans, with effect from 24th
October, 1941.
Adams, Robert George, with effect from 27th October,
1941.
Blair, Leslie, with effect from 28th October, 1941.
Johnson, Noble, with effect from 28th October, 1941.
