In exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Emer- gency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations---
The Printers and Publishers Ordinance, 1927, Amendment Regulations, 1941.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Printers and Publishers Ordinance, 1927, Amendment Regulations, 1941.
2. Section 4 of the Printers and Publishers Ordinance, 1927, is amended by the addition thereto of the following sub-section-
(13) The registrar, if it appears to him to be necessary or expedient so to do in the interests of public safety, defence or the efficient prosecution of the war, or for maintaining supplies and services essential to the life of the community, may refuse to register any newspaper.
In this sub-section "the war means any war in which His Majesty may be engaged.
