In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, His Excellency the Governor hereby amends regulation 66A of the Defence Regulations, 1940, published as Government Notification 759 in the Gazette of 20th June, 1941, by the addition of the following proviso at the end of paragraph (1) thereof—
Provided also that the Medical Board in giving any direction under this regulation for the registration of a temporary practitioner may if it thinks fit make such registration conditional upon the practitioner's being engaged in no medical practice except in an institution approved by the Board, and in that case the practitioner shall cease to be registered if he engages in any other medical practice.

SUPREME COURT.
No. 1004.-It is hereby notified that His Honour Sir Alasdair Duncan Atholl MacGregor, Chief Justice, has by Commission signed by him, and dated the 18th day of August, 1941, appointed JOHN BARROW, District Officer North, Hong Kong, to be a Commissioner to administer oaths and take declarations, affirmations and attestations of honour in connexion with the succession to property on death within the Northern District of the New Territories so long as he shall continue to act as District Officer North.
