In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 (1) (e) of the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, as amended by regulation 2 of the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, Amendment Regulations, 1940, and of all other powers thereto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor, with the prior approval of the Secretary of State, hereby orders as follows:
The Trading with the Enemy (Specified Territories) (No. 1) Order, 1941, is hereby rescinded.

NOTE. The Trading with the Enemy (Specified Territories) (No. 1) Order, 1941, (Government Notification No. 664 in the Gazette of 30th May, 1941), ordered that the provisions of the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, should apply in relation to Syria and Lebanon as they apply in relation to enemy territory.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, pursuant to Section 11 (7) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939, to permit the following persons to quit the Hong Kong Defence Reserve:
Gilbert, Geoffrey Fitzgerald, with effect from 15th
August, 1941.
Wilson, Charles Robert, with effect from 15th August,
1941.
Ellis, Frederick, with effect from 20th August, 1941.
