COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

In connexion with proposed changes in currency control, it is notified under the Defence (Finance) Regulations, 1940, that the following banks are those at present authorized by the Governor to deal in foreign currency and that all other authorizations previously made are cancelled-

American Express Company.

Bank of China.

Bank of Communications.

Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China.

Chase Bank.

Thos. Cook and Sons (Bankers).

Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.

Mercantile Bank of India.

National City Bank of New York.

Nederlandsche Handelmaatschappij.

Nederlandsch Indische Handelsbank.
