No. 821.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. RICHARD EDWARDS to be Deputy Clerk of Councils, with effect from 7th July, 1941.

No. 822.—It is hereby notified that Mr. Lewis JOHN MORLEY, M.P.S., resumed duty as Chief Pharmacist on the 26th June, 1941.

No. 823. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under section 3 of the Immigration Control Ordinance, 1940, Mr. CHARLES JAMES GOULDING MCCORMICK to be an Assistant Immigration Officer in the Immigration Department, with effect from the 2nd July, 1941.

No. 824.- His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Sir ROBERT HORMUS KOTEWALL, Kt., C.M.G., LL.D., to be an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council for a further period of five years, with effect from the 9th July, 1941.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honour- able Mr. ANDREW LUSK SHIELDS, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily, during the absence of Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL, an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council, with effect from the 8th day of July, 1941.

No. 826.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. STEPHEN FRANCIS BALFOUR to be District Officer in the Southern District of the New Territories, with effect from 7th July, 1941.

No. 827.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize Mr. STEPHEN FRANCIS BALFOUR, a Magistrate, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court, as mentioned in the said section, at the undermentioned places in the New Territories (exclusive of New Kowloon) in addition to the court-house at the office of the District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories in the building known as Queen's Building" and situate at the corner of Chater Road and Statue Square, Victoria, in this Colony, and so long as he shall hold the office of District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories.
