ORDINANCE No. 8 of 1921. (STAMP).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Stamp Ordinance, 1921, the Governor in Council hereby amends heading 36 in the Schedule to the said Ordinance (as amended by Government Notifications Nos. 31 of 1939 and 891 of 1940) by the addition of the following to the list of exemptions in the second column—

(i) Receipt given for a refund of bail or for a refund of a fine or any part thereof.

6) Receipt given for a refund of rates made under sections 35-38A and section 49 of the Rating Ordinance,

1901.

(k) Receipt given for a refund of tax made under section 64 of the War Revenue Ordinance, 1941.

(1) Receipt given for a refund of Crown Rents on Leased Lands or of premia.

(m) Receipt given for a refund of Water Charges.

ORDINANCE No. 38 of 1939.

(ESSENTIAL

COMMODITIES RESERVES).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Reserves Ordinance, 1939, His Excellency the Governor in Council hereby amends the Schedule to the said Ordinance by the deletion of the list of commodities in the said Schedule, as enumerated in Govern- ment Notifications 230 and 712, published in the Gazettes of 28th February, 1941, and 13th June, 1941, respectively, and the substitution of the following list therefor—

The following commodities, of such standards as the Controller may direct, namely-

1. Rice.

All types of dried beans.

3.

Peanut oil.

4.

Flour.

5. Salt, other than refined table-salt.
