No. 381.-The following telegram from the Secretary of State dated 1st April, 1941, is published for general information:-
"The total of over £100,000 now contributed towards cost of bomber squadrons by subscribers to the South China Morning Post and Hong Kong Telegraph Fund is proof of outstanding assistance being rendered by Colony to R.A.F. Will you please convey to all concerned my deepest personal thanks for their inspired and invaluable gift".

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1940. I, the CONTROLLER OF TRADE, with the consent of His Excellency the Governor, make the following order-
Except under and in accordance with the terms and subject to the conditions of a licence under the hand of the Controller of Trade or under the hand of an officer of his department on his behalf, no person shall import into the Colony any
ANILINE DYES OR DYES OF ANY OTHER DESCRIPTION,
or any
DRUGS, MEDICINES OR CHEMICALS OF ANY
DESCRIPTION:
Provided however that this order shall not apply to any of the above mentioned articles where such articles have been manufactured within and imported from the British Empire.

IMPORTS AND EXPORTS DEPARTMENT.
No. 383.- With reference to Government Notification No. 382 of 4th April, 1941, it is hereby notified for general information that Import Licence forms may temporarily be obtained at the Trade Control Office, Post Office Building. Importing firms should, however, arrange without delay to print their own forms from the samples obtained at the Trade Control Office.
