ANNOUNCEMENT.

5. His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council, paying a tribute to General

NORTON for his work here during the past seven months.

The Honourable Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON addressed the Council on behalf of the community supporting the tribute by His Excellency the Governor to General NORTON.

The Honourable Mr. Lo MAN-KAM addressed the Council and said that on behalf of his Chinese colleagues and himself, he desired to be associated with His Excellency the Governor's tribute and extended the best wishes of the Chinese community to General NORTON and expressed the hope for a speedy return to normal health.

ADJOURNMENT.

6. The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 27th day of March, 1941,

at 2.30 p.m.
