MOTIONS.

6. The Financial Secretary addressed the Council and moved the following

resolution:

RESOLVED pursuant to sections 3 and 5 of the Enter- tainments Tax Ordinance, 1930, as amended by the Enter- tainments Tax Amendment Ordinance, 1941, that as from the 1st day of April, 1941, the rates of Entertainments Duty at present in force be abolished and that Entertainments Duty at the following rates be substituted therefor :-

7. Appropriation Bill for 1941-1942.-The Financial Secretary moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Fifty-two million four hundred and eighty-three thousand two hundred and ninety-four Dollars to the Public Service of the financial year beginning on the 1st April, 1941, and ending on the 31st March, 1942, and also to apply an additional sum not exceeding Eight hundred and thirty-two thousand Dollars to the Waterworks Renewals and Improvements Fund for the service of that Fund in the said financial year."
