In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations-
The Hong Kong Defence Regulations, etc., (Collection and Proof) Regulations, 1941.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Hong Kong Title. Defence Regulations, etc., (Collection and Proof) Regulations, 1941.

2. The Governor may from time to time authorize the Collection collection and republication in a convenient form, with such Regulations, consolidation and amendment as may be necessary or desir- etc. able, of any regulations made in this Colony under powers conferred by any Act of Parliament or Order of His Majesty in Council relating to emergency powers or defence, and of any orders, directions or other matters made or done under any such regulations.
3. In so far as there are variations in the text of any such regulation, order, direction or other matter, the text of which appears in any collection authorized under these regulations, and the original, whether the original was published in the Gazette or not, the original shall be deemed to have been amended by and the variations deemed to have been authorized by the Governor or other authority or person making the regulation, order, direction or other matter.
Variations.
4. Any such regulation, order, direction or other matter, Proof. the text of which appears in any collection authorized under these regulations, shall be of equal validity with the original and may be proved by the production of a copy of such collection purporting to be authorized by the Governor and to be printed by the Government printers.
5. Nothing in these regulations shall affect any regula- Savings. tion, order, direction or other matter the text of which does not appear in any collection authorized under these regula- tions.
6. A copy of these regulations shall be printed at the Inclusion beginning of any collection authorized under these regulations. regulations
