ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1933. (VOLUNTEER).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Volunteer Ordinance, 1933, the General Officer Commanding the Troops, with the approval of the Governor after con- sultation with the Commandant of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, amends Regulation 3 (1) of the Regulations published as Government Notification No. 696 in the Gazette of the 25th August, 1939, as amended by Government Noti- fication No. 943 in the Gazette Extraordinary of the 18th October, 1939, as follows:-

In paragraph (1) of Regulation 3 the list of Auxiliary Units is amended by the addition of The Hong Kong Engineering Corps" at the end thereof.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

It is hereby notified for general information that the order of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government relating to the putting on board ships of cargo and baggage, which appeared in the Gazette of 8th November, 1940, as Government Notification 1227, will be strictly enforced in respect of CARGO for OCEAN GOING SHIPS and in respect of BAGGAGE for ALL SHIPS EXCEPT RIVER STEAMERS as from 1st April, 1941. Until that date the declaration specified in the schedule to the order will not be required.
