No. S. 409.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Stores, &c., for Harbour Department", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Wednesday, the 11th December, 1912.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract in the usual form of Government Contracts and to give security for the sum of $300 in a bond with two sureties conditional for the due and faithful performance of the terms of such contract.

The articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Harbour Department at such times and in such quantities as may be required.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PRISON DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 410.-It is hereby notified with reference to Government Notification No. 698 of 1900, that separate tenders in duplicate, which should be sealed and clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Prisoners' Provisions, etc.", for the supply of the Articles therein mentioned, from the 1st February, 1913, to the 31st January, 1914, inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 20th December, 1912.

No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $400 as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender.

For any other information apply at the Office of the Assistant Superintendent, Prison Department.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $2,000.

NOTICE is hereby given that, owing to dredging operations in the Astræa Channel, the No. 3 Buoy will on or about the 20th instant be shifted 90 feet N. 23° E. (Mag.) from its present position, i.e., further into the Channel.

The depth of water at the buoy will then be 15 feet at low water of extraordinary Spring tides.
