ARNO BAY.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 7 of 1912, notice is hereby given that the two (2) Temporary Leading Lights on the jetty therein described will, on October 1st next, be changed to red.
Height of frout light 17ft., back light 24ft. above ordinary H.W., 630ft. apart, on a line bearing N. 45° W. mag., which leads clear of the rocks north of the jetty and Cape Driver to the south.
Approximate position-Lat., 33° 55′ S.; long., 136° 34′ E. This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 2389B and 2759B.

Gulf of Pechili-Taku Bar.
FERGUSON CHANNEL CLOSED: NEW CHANNEL OPENED.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 20th September, 1912, the aids to navigation mark- ing the Ferguson Channel were removed, and that aids to navigation to mark a new channel over the Bar were placed in position as follows:-
Entrance Buoy.-A black Buoy, gas-lighted, and showing an occulting white light every 8 seconds, thus :---

was moored in 132 feet of water at low water of spring tides, in the eastern approach to the new channel, with the Cavalier at North Fort hearing N. 644° W., distant 5.83 miles.
Bar Light-boat.-A light-boat, painted red, with one mast surmounted by a black ball, and showing a fixed red light visible in clear weather at a distance of 4 nautical miles, was moored in 3 feet of water at low water of spring tides on the northern side of the new channel, with the Cavalier at North Fort bearing N. 54° W., distant 3.66 miles. During foggy or thick weather the following responding fog signal will be made :-
A gong sounded at intervals of 1 minute so long as the fog signal of a vessel in
the neighbourhood, showing that she is under way, continues to be heard. Inner Buoy.-A conical Buoy, painted red, was moored in 3 feet of water at low water of spring tides, on the northern side of the channel, with the Cavalier at North Fort bearing N. 441 W., distant 2.4 miles.
Temporary Leading Marks have been erected on the south bank, which when in line lead through the new channel between the Entrance Buoy and the Bar Light-boat.
All bearings given are magnetic.
