OTICE is hereby given that JAN GEORGE CHANCE of No. 15c Wellington Street, Vic- 1912,

applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark:-

in the name of JAN GEORGE CHANCE who claims to be the proprietor thercof.

The Trade Mark has not hitherto been used by the Applicants in respect of Machinery,

in Class 6, but it is his intention so to use it forthwith.

“OTICE is hereby given that the HONG-

KONG LARD AND MEAT FACTORY of Kennedy Town in the Colony of Hongkong, Merchants, bave on the 10th day of January 1912 applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the follow- ing Trade Mark :--

The representation of a lion in gold above which appear 2 flags (red and yel- low); between the 2 flags is a red disc within which appear the representa- tions of a tin or receptacle for lard and 2 pairs of sausages with 4 red diamonds above the disc. The follow- ing Chinese characters are depicted

on the Red dag “猪油淨潔

meaning "Pure Lard" and on the Yel- low flag the following Chinese charac-

ters are depicted "味臘欵各”

meaning "Various kinds of preserved meats. Above the mark are the words “Guaranteed Purc Lard" with a floral scroll containing the Chinese

characters “油猪造製港香 司公味臘" meaning“The

Hongkong Lard and Meat Factory' and below the mark are the words "The Hongkong Lard and Meat Fac- tory, Kennedy Town, Hongkong", in the name of the HongKong LARD AND MEAT FACTORY who claim to be the proprie- tors thereof.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of Lard in Class 12.
