The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

Forms of tender and further particulars can be obtained from the Director of Public Works.

Conditions relating to the letting of Crown Land opposite the Central Market for a period of 2 years from 1st November, 1912 :-

(1.) Lease area about 23,520 square feet.

(2.) Upset Crown Rent $1,200 per month.

(3.) The amount of monthly Crown Rent offered to be stated in tender.

(4.) The Crown Rent will be payable monthly in advance on the 1st day of each month.

(5.) Tenders must specify the purposes for which the land is to be used. It can be used for no other purpose than those specified except the consent of the Governor be pre- viously obtained.

(6.) No matsheds will be permitted to be erected on the ground, but sheds with boarded sides and tiled roofs may be erected.

(7.) The Lessee will be allowed to erect a temporary building for the purpose of holding public performances under Ordinance No. 18 of 1908.

(8.) The Lessee will also be allowed to erect temporary shops on the sea frontage which must not be used as domestic buildings except for watchmen; such buildings to be constructed to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.

(9.) All structures erected by the lessee to be cleared away before the termination of the lease and the ground to be left in a condition to the satisfaction of the Dieector of Public Works.

(10.) The successful tenderer shall before 1st November, 1912, execute a lease in the usual form of Crown Leases as modified by the foregoing Special Conditions.

(11.) The Lessee shall deposit a sum of $3,000 with the Colonial Treasurer as security for the due payment of rent and performance of conditions of lease.

(12.) The present Lessees have power under their lease to clear away before 31st October, 1912, all structures erected on the land and are required to leave the ground in a condition satisfactory to the Director of Public Works.

No. S. 312-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for supply of Winter Uniform for the Crew of the Harbour Office Steam Launches, Boatmen. &c."," will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 27th September, 1912.

Samples of Uniform may be seen, and any further information obtained at this Office.
