No. 9 of 1912.

REFERRING to Harbour Notification No. 2 of 1912, Notice is hereby given that, the Commissioner for Trade and Foreign Affairs and the Treaty Power Consuls having with- drawn the declaration of plague-infection against HONGKONG, the medical inspection and fumigation of vessels arriving from that port is discontinued.

Ratguards are still to be used on all ropes securing such ves-els to wharves or pontoons and on all lines by which their cargo-boats are made fast.

It is proposed to exhibit a lantern on or about the 1st October, 1912.

Position. On Beach, Latitude 8° 9' N. Longitude 77° 36' E.

Description or Character.-One white fixed light from a country-made lantern. Elevation.-14 feet.

Visibility.4 miles all round.

Structure.—Masonry column.

Authority.-Port Officer, Tuticorin.

Remarks. The light is intended for the use of fishermen.
