COPYRIGHT ACT, 1911.
This list will be the last Supplement to the Copyright List issued on the 30th May, 1904. The Copy- right Act, 1911, will come into force on 1st July, 1912, and from that date the works registered in the Customs and Excise Department, London, under the Regulations prescribed by the Commissioners under Section 14 of the Act, will be included in periodical provisional lists with a view to the compilation of a new list in due
course.
No. 2 of the said Regalations provides, with regard to the present Copyright List, as follows:-
Any notice in regard to any book or other printed work in which copyright subsisted on the 30th day of June, 1912, which was given to and accepted by the said Commissioners (of Customs and Excise) on or before that day pursuant to Section 42 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, or Section 1 of the Revenue Act, 1889, shall for a poriod of twelve months from the 1st day of July, 1912, if the copyright so long subsists, be treated as a notice given under Section 14 of the Copyright Act, 1911, unless the notice is withdrawn or superseded, or the said Commis- sioners require a further notice to be given.
No. S. 267.-It is hereby notified that information has been received from H.B.M.'s Consul-General, Shanghai, to the effect that the quarantine restrictions imposed against the port of Hongkong were withdrawn on the 15th instant.
