NOTICE is hereby given that the CHINA

EXPORT IMPORT AND BANK COMPAG- NIE of Hamburg in Germany and elsewhere have on the 16th day of May, 1912, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Regis- ter of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark, namely :-

The representation of a dancing girl waving a wreath of leaves; below the dancing girl are four medals from behind which some ears of corn appear to grow up on each side of the figure; the whole repre- sentation is enclosed in an oval shaped border round which are the words "Queen's Favorite-Actien Bier Brauerei Marienthal-Brewed at Wandsbek Hamburg-1A Pilse- ner"

in the name of the CHINA EXPORT IMPOET AND BANK COMPAGNIE who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is to be associated with Mark No. 55 (12) of 1892.

The Applicants disclaim any right to the exclusive use of the words "1A Pilsener ".

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants in respect of Beer in Class 43.

A facsimile of the Trade Mark is deposited for inspection at the Office of the Registrar of Trade Marks, Hongkong.

KANEKO & Co., of Higashiku, Osaka, Japan, Perfumers, have on the 2nd day of February, 1912, applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks :-

1. The letter L within which is the re- presentation of a Woman in European dress sitting on a bench with her right hand uplifted and holding a flower with her left hand. Close to

the right hand side of this letter is another letter L smaller in size.

2. The letter Y within which is the re- presentation of a Chinese girl sitting

on a chair with her hands resting on her lap, in front of a window with curtain drawn aside. Close to the right hand side of this letter is an- other letter Y smaller in size,

in the name of KANEKO & Co., who claim to be the proprietors thereof.

The said Trade Marks are intended to be used by the Applicants in respect of the fol- lowing goods :-

in the name of the FISHER FLOURING MILLS COMPANY who claim to be the sole proprie- tors thereof.

Representations of the Trade Marks are deposited for inspection in the Office of the Registrar.

The Trade Marks have been used by the Applicants in respect of Flour in Class 42.
