HARBOUR NOTIFICATION.
No. 1 of 1912.
Modification of Clause 21 of the Harbour Regulations for the Port of Canton, relating to the Inflammable-Goods Anchorage at Whampoa.
NOTICE is hereby given that Clause 21 of the Harbour Regulations for the port of Canton, dealing with inflammable-goods, has been modified to read as follows:-
Vessels arriving at this Port and having on board inflammable-goods, such as Mineral oil, Calcium carbide, &c., shall be berthed in a special anchorage set apart from time to time by the Harbour Authorities, and shall remain there until such goods have been discharged. Until further notice, this special anchorage will be between Birds Nest Rock and Macao Fort at Canton; and at Whampoa to the Eastward of a line drawn due North from the North West end of No. 4 Flat Island.
Vessels having on board, as cargo, Naphtha or any highly inflammable product of Petroleum such as Gasoline, Benzine, &c., shall be governed, as regards berthing, by clause 13 of the Harbour Regulations.

No. S. 194.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Public Trough Closet near Fire Brigade Station", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 8th day of July, 1912, for the con- struction of an Underground Public Trough Closet containing 36 seats and 4 urinals and construction of Roadway over same.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
