YANGTZE RIVER-CONFUCIUS CHANNEL AND LANGSHAN CROSSING.
Alterations in Buoyage, and Establishment of Plover Point Buoy.
REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 36, notice is hereby given that the changes in aids to navigation notified therein have been carried out.
The Dove's Nest Upper Buoy in now moored in 50 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Leo Point Beacon bears S. 54° W., distant 2.27 miles.
The Acteon Buoy is now moored in 37 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Leo Point Beacon bears S. 22° E., distant 4.7 miles.
A 6-foot conical Buoy, painted red and surmounted by a cylindrical shape, and known as the 'lover Point Buoy, has been moored in 38 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 291 W., distant 11.29 miles. This Buoy
river. marks the starboard side of the channel for vessels bound up
The Middle Bank Buoy has been changed in colour to red, and is now moored in 54 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 14° W., distant 10.2 miles. This Buoy now marks the starboard side of the channel for vessels bound up river.
The North Bank Buoy is now moored in 34 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 14° E., distant 10.19 miles.
The Langshan Buoy is now moored in 44 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 16 E., distant 9.36 miles.
The Upper Crossing Buoy is now moored in 45 feet of water at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 554 E., distant 5.88 miles.
Unless otherwise stated, the characteristics of these Buoys remain unchanged. All bearings given are magnetic.
