Sale of Old Material.
No. S. 415.-The Police Department is prepared to receive tenders for the pur- chase of a quantity of old material comprising:-
Boots and Shoes, Uniforms, Clothing, Blackwood Furniture, Beds, Rattan Ware, Boxes and Suitcases, Household Effects, Rope, Tools and Motor Spares, Leather Goods, Rubber Scrap, Brass Scrap, Cast Iron Scrap. Crockery, Surgical Instruments, Musical Instruments, Watches and Clocks, Jewellery, Microscope, Printing Press, Motor Cycles, Motor Van and miscellaneous lots.

HONG KONG NAVAL VOLUNTEER FORCE,
No. S, 416.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Messing of Chinese Volunteer Ratings, 1938'", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 10th day of December, 1937.
Each Tenderer must produce with his tender a receipt for the sum of Dollars Two Hundred ($200), which amount he is required to deposit with the Financial Secretary and Colonial Treasurer, as a pledge of the bona fides of his tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, should the Tenderers refuse or fail to carry out to the satisfac- tion of the Commanding Officer, the whole or any portion of the tender, which may be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 417.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked Tender for Construction of Roof lanterns at the Hong Kong Prison, Stanley ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of December, 1937. The work consists of Roof lanterns in reinforced concrete and glass to Printing Shop, Cookhouse and Bath House, etc.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,000 with the Colonial Treasurer.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
