No. S. 344.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked Tender for Piling to New Central Market ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 25th day of October, 1937. The work consists of driving concrete piles for foundations.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, the sum of $2,000 with the Colonial Treasurer.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
Firing practice will be carried out from Stonecutters Island, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and again from 7.30 p.m. to midnight, on Tuesday, 12th October, 1937.
Firing Area "E" will be affected.
Firing practice will be carried out from the area of Cape D'Aguilar on Thursday, 14th October, 1937, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Firing Area "B" will be affected.
Firing practice will be carried out from Stonecutters Island, between 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Monday, 18th October, 1937.
Firing Area "E" will be affected.
Firing practice will be carried out from Pakshawan Battery, between 6 p.m. and midnight, on Wednesday, 20th October, 1937.
Firing Area A" will be affected.
Firing practice will be carried out from Stonecutters Island, between 7.30 p.m. on Friday, 22nd October, 1937, and 2 a.m. on Saturday, 23rd October, 1937.
Firing Area "E" will be affected.
In accordance with sub-section 4 of section of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the Firing Area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the Firing Area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
