No. S. 136.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Demolition of Queen's Gardens, Hong Kong", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 31st day of May, 1937. The work consists of the demolition of the four blocks of Quarters known as Queen's Gardens together with all out buildings.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit with the Colonial Treasurer a cash sum of $2,000 which will be retained until the work is satisfactorily completed.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for New Market at Stanley Village", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 7th day of June, 1937. The work consists of the site formation and erection of a new market in reinforced concrete, including fitting of stalls, coolie quarters, latrine and W. C. accommodation and a septic
tank.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, the sum of $1,000 with the Colonial Treasurer which sum will be retained for a period of six months from the date of completion of the works in lieu of the usual retention money.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
