Amendment

of Ordinance

No. 31 of

1911, s. 39, D (8).

New sub- section (4)

(b) by the repeal of paragraph (12) thereof under the heading "B.-Colonial definitions" and the substitution of the following paragraph therefor :-

"(12) 'Health Officer' includes the Director of Medical Services, any medical officer appointed as a Health Officer by the Governor, any Colonial Veterinary Surgeon and any officer for the time being performing the duties of a Health Officer under any Ordinance."

(c) by the insertion, in paragraph (1) thereof under the heading "C.-Geographical definitions" of the word "Northern" immediately before the word "Ireland".

4. Paragraph (8) under the heading "D.-Judicial definitions" in section 39 of the Interpretation Ordinance, 1911, is amended-

(1) by the repeal of the words and figures "the Magistrates Ordinance, 1890," in the first and second and eighth lines thereof and the substitution therefor of the words and figures "the Magistrates Ordinance, 1932,";

(2) by the repeal of the word and figure "section 8" in the third line thereof and the substitution therefor of the word and figure "section 6";

(3) by the repeal of all the words and figures in the last line thereof and the substitution therefor of the words and figures "section 87 of the Magistrates Ordinance, 1932."

5. Section 40 of the Interpretation Ordinance, 1911, as of Ordinance amended by the Interpretation Amendment Ordinance, 1927,

is amended by the addition of the following sub-section :-

No. 31 of 1911, s. 40, Ordinance No. 1 of 1927.

"(4) All regulations shall be laid on the table of the Legislative Council at the first meeting thereof after the publication in the Gazette of the making of such regulations, and if a resolution be passed at the first meeting of the Legislative Council held after such regulations have been laid on the table of the said Council resolving that any such regulations shall be rescinded or amended in any manner whatsoever, the said regulations shall, without prejudice to anything done thereunder, be deemed to be rescinded or amended, as the case may be, as from the date of publication in the Gazette of the passing of such resolution."
