No. 910.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor, under instruc- tions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to make the following appointment:-

Mr. IAN PHILIP TAMWORTH, B.A., Forestry, Oxford, to be Assistant Superin- tendent, Botanical and Forestry Department, with effect from 15th December, 1937.

ORDINANCE No. 22 of 1910. (MIDWIVES).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Midwives Ordinance 1910, the Midwives Board further amends the Regulations published as Government Notification No. 653 in the Gazette of the 24th October 1930 as follows:-

Amendments.

Regulation 2E (iii) is amended by the substitution of a semicolon for the full stop at the end thereof and by the addition, after such semicolon, of the word "or".

Regulation 2F as enacted by Government Notification No. 863 in the Gazette of the 30th October 1936 is hereby rescinded and the following Regulation is substituted therefor

F. that she possesses a certificate of competency satis- factory to the Board, and has practised as a wan p'o in the Colony for at least two years immediately preceding the date of her application to be certified, and that such application is made before 31st December 1937.

Regulation 5 is amended by the addition of the following paragraph at the end thereof :-

No person who has three times failed to pass the Board's examination shall again be allowed to enter for the examina- tion
