The rainfall for the month of August at Victoria Peak was 16ins. 32 on 26 days at Mount Kellett, it was 12ins. 03 on 22 days, at Botanical Gardens, 14ins. 29 on 22 days, at Taipo, 24ins. 63 on 28 days, and at Fanling, 16ins. 30 on 24 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. ·349 at 16h. 00m. on the 3rd. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 57 miles per hour at 08h. 37m. on the 20th.
