ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899.
(MERCHANT SHIPPING).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 25, 33 and 42 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council hereby rescinds Table M in the Schedule to the said Ordinance, as subsequently amended, and substitutes the following Table therefor:

REGULATIONS FOR THE PROTECTION, MANAGEMENT AND NAVIGATION OF THE WATERS OF THE COLONY, &c.
(I). —FAIRWAYS.
1. All direct approaches to anchorages in the waters of Definition of
fairways. the Colony are declared to be fairways.
and Central
2. There shall be two principal fairways through the Southern harbour for the passage of vessels of over 60 tons burden, Fairways. and such fairways shall be named as follows:-
The Southern and the Central Fairways.
Southern
3. The Southern Fairway commences off the Gas Works Limits of and terminates at Blake Pier. The north side is bounded by Fairway. the Junk Anchorage (I in Table S of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899) and a line of mooring buoys extending westwards from Blake Pier. The south side is bounded by vessels at the Praya wall or the wharves extend- ing therefrom.
Central
4. The western entrance to the Central Fairway is marked Limits of by two buoys; the buoy on the northern side is painted in Fairway. red and shows a red flashing light at night, the buoy on the southern side is painted black and shows a white flashing light at night. The Central Fairway is defined by two lines of mooring buoys running in an Easterly and E.S.Easterly direction.

5. Vessels exceeding sixty tons proceeding through a fairway shall fly a pennant at the highest mast-head forward fairways. as follows:
whilst in the Southern Fairway, numeral pennant No. 4; whilst in the Central Fairway, numeral pennant No. 1.
