No. 401. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint DOUGLAS JAMES VALENTINE, M.C., M.B., B.S. (Lond.), D.P.H., D.T.M. & H. (Eng.), to act as Director of Medical Services, with effect from the 11th June, 1937.

No. 402.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint JAMES THORNTON SMALLEY, M.R.C.S. (Eng.), L.R.C.P. (Lond.), to act as Deputy Director of Medical Services, with effect from the 11th June, 1937.

No. 403.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Dr. DOUGLAS JAMES VALENTINE, M.C., M.B., B.S. (Lond.), D.P.H., D.T.M. & H. (Eng.), provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Official Member of the Legislative Council, with effect from the 11th June, 1937.

No. 404.- His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 10 of the Medical Registration Ordin- ance, 1935, Ordinance No. 41 of 1935, Dr. HERMANN BALEAN, F.R.C.S., to be a Member of the Medical Board during the absence from the Colony of Dr. GEORGE DUNCAN RALPH BLACK, O.B.E., or until further notice, with effect from 21st March, 1937.
