14.-(1) It shall not be lawful to sell or supply any poison

Special cautions in

(a) in the case of a liquid other than a medicine, contained in the case of a bottle of a capacity of not more than 120 fluid ounces, unless the certain bottle is labelled with the words "Not to be taken";

articles.

(b) in the case of an embrocation, liniment, lotion, liquid antiseptic, or other liquid medicine for external application, unless the container is labelled with the name of the article and the words "For external use only".

(2) It shall not be lawful to sell or supply any compressed hydrocyanic acid, unless the container is labelled with the words **Warning, This container holds poisonous gas and should only be opened and used by persons having expert knowledge of the precautions to be taken in its use".

15.—(1) It shall not be lawful to store any poison except in a Storage of container impervious to the poison and sufficiently stout to prevent poisons. leakage from the container arising from the ordinary risks of handling.

(2) It shall not be lawful to store any substance included in the First List under these Poisons Regulations in any retail shop or premises used in connection therewith unless the substance is stored-

(a)

in a cupboard or drawer reserved solely for the storage of poisons; or

(b) in a part of the premises which is partitioned off or otherwise separated from the remainder of the premises and to which customers are not permitted to have access; or

(c) on a shelf reserved solely for the storage of poisons and— (1) no food is kept directly under the shelf, and

(ii) the container of the substance is rendered distinguishable by touch from the containers of articles and substances other than poisons stored upon the same premises.

16. In all establishments in which pharmaceutical preparations Manufacture containing any poison are manufactured for the purpose of the of pharma- internal treatment of human ailments, the preparation must be ceutical manufactured by, or under the supervision of—

preparations.

(1) a registered pharmacist; or

(2) a person having one of the following qualifications in chemistry:

(a) the Fellowship of the Institute of Chemistry;

(b) the Associateship of the Institute of Chemistry:

Provided that this Regulation shall not apply to the manufacture by or under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner of preparations containing pituitary, suprarenal or thyroid glands, the active principles of any of those glands or the salts of the active principles of thyroid gland.

17.-(1) A certificate given for the purposes of paragraph (a) of Certificate section 19 (2) of the Ordinance, being a certificate certifying a person of persons to be a person to whom a poison may properly be sold, shall be in to whom the form, and shall contain the particulars, as provided by this poisons may

be sold. Regulation.

(2) Persons known both to the intending purchaser and to the seller are hereby authorised to give such certificate as aforesaid.

(3) On any sale of a poison upon such a certificate as aforesaid,

the certificate shall be retained by the seller.

(4) The Form of the certificate as aforesaid shall be-
