1. The Council met pursuant to adjournment. His Excellency the Governor
occupied the Chair.

2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 10th March, 1937, were confirmed.

3. The Honourable the Colonial Treasurer, (Mr. WILLIAM JAMES CARRIE, Acting), the Honourable Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S.O., R.N., (Retired), (Acting Harbour Master), and the Honourable Mr. MARCUS THEODORE JOHNSON, took the Oath of Allegiance and assumed their seats as Members of the Council.
ANNOUNCEMENT.
4. His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council paying high tribute to the services rendered on the Council and to the Colony by Mr. EDWIN TAYLOR who had recently vacated the post of Colonial Treasurer on retirement. Hon. Sir HENRY E. POLLOCK on behalf of the Unofficial Members supported His
Excellency's remarks.

Order made by the Governor in Council under section 99 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, directing that the provisions of Part IV (Disposal of the Dead), &c. of the said Ordinance be applied to the Tsing Yi Urn Cemetery, dated 18th March, 1937.
