ORDINANCE No. 40 of 1934. (CREMATION).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Cremation Ordinance, 1934, the Governor in Council amends the Cremation Regulations published as Government Notification No. 41 in the Gazette of the 18th January, 1935, as amended by section 2 of the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services (Change of Name) Ordinance, 1936 (Ordin- ance No. 46 of 1936) as follows :-
Amendments,
(1) In the fourth line of regulation 1 add "or the Urban Council' after "the Director of Medical Services".
(2) In the second line of the proviso to regulation 2 add "or the Urban Council" after "the Director of Medical Services".

(3) In the first line of the final paragraph of regulation 2 add or the Urban Council' after "the Director of Medical Services'.
(4) In regulation 3 substitute a comma for the full stop after the final word and add "or by any member of the Urban Council or by any officer of the Sanitary Department authorised by the Chairman of the Urban Council in writing to make such inspections."
(5) In the second line of regulation 15 add "or the Urban Council" after "the Director of Medical Services".
(6) In the fourth line of regulation 15 after "to" insert "a society or".
(7) In the sixth line before the word "institute" insert "society or".
