The rainfall for the month of January at Victoria Peak was 2ins. 70 on 11 days, at Mount Kellett, it was 2ins. 27 on 6 days, at Botanical Gardens, 2ins. 90 on 3 days, at Taipo, lin. 90 on 6 days, and at Fanling, 2ins. '02'on 4 days.
ad the lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins, 844 at 15h 00m. on the 31st.. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 44 miles per hour at 09h. 46m. on the 30th.
