No. 48.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, 1934, to appoint the person for the time being executing the duties of Medical Officer in charge of New Territories, to be a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths.

No. 49.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. BRIAN CHARLES KEITH HAWKINS to act as Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from the 23rd January, 1937, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH, or until further notice.
