No. 708.---Ilis Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :-

Ordinance No. 20 of 1936.-An Ordinance to enable effect to be given to an International Convention for the Suppression of Counterfeiting Currency, signed on behalf of His late Majesty at Geneva on the 20th day of April, 1929, to apply to foreign coin certain enactments relating to British Coin, to assimilate the penal- ties for importing and exporting counterfeit coin and to amend certain enactinents relating to forgery, coinage and extradition.

Service Ordinance, 1923.

Ordinance No. 25 of 1936.—An Ordinance to amend the Protection of Women

and Girls Ordinance, 1897.

APPOINTMENTS, &c

No. 709.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM ARTHUR LAING to be a Member of the Authorized Archi- tects Consulting Committee, vice Mr. JOSEPH FRANK ARDON, resigned.

No. 710-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. BRIAN CHARLES KEITH HAWKINS to act as District Officer in the Southern District of the New Territories in addition to his other duties, with effect from 31st August, 1936.

No. 711.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to authorise Mr. BRIAN CHARLES KEITH HAWKINS, a Magistrate, under the provi- sions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court, as mentioned in the said section, at the under- mentioned places in the New Territories (exclusive of New Kowloon) in addition to the court-house at the office of the District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories in the building known as 'St. George's Building" and situate at the corner of Chater Road and Ice House Street, Victoria, in this Colony, and so long as he shall hold the office of District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories.
