COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
No. 698. Notice is hereby given that ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH, Esquire, has, by virtue of the provisions of the Letters Patent passed under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom constituting the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and providing for the Government thereof, to-day assumed the administration of the Government of the Colony during the temporary incapacity of His Excellency Sir ANDREW CALDECOTT, C.M.G., Č.B.E., and until further notice and has taken the prescribed oaths.
