COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

It is hereby notified that by an Agreement between His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the Nether- lands Government signed in London on the 7th November, 1935, the Government of the United Kingdom. being satisfied that provision has been made by the Netherlands Government for the application of the provisions of the International Load Line Convention to British non-Convention ships, has agreed that the certificates issued by or under the authority of the Netherlands Government to Netherlands non-Convention ships certifying that the load lines shown on the certificates have been assigned in accordance with the provisions of the Nether- lands Shipping Act of the 1st July, 1909, modified by the Acts of the 23rd September, 1912, the 11th January, 1919, the 11th May, 1923, the 29th June, 1925, the 10th June, 1926, and the 31st December, 1931, and the provisions of the Netherlands Shipping Order of the 26th November, 1932, wherein the pro- visions of the International Load Line Convention, 1930, have been incorporated, shall in the ports of the United Kingdom, or of any British Colony, or protectorate, or of any mandated territory, in respect of which the mandate is exercised by the Government of the United Kingdom, have the same effect as the load line certificates issued by or under the authority of the Government of the United Kingdom.
