No. 573. His Excellency has been pleased under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies to appoint Mr. WILLIAM RALPH EWING STEPHENSON to be an Assistant Auditor, with effect from 14th May, 1936.

No. 574.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S.O., R.N. (Retired), to act as Harbour Master and Director of Air Services, during the absence on leave of the Honourable Commander GEORGE FRANCIS HOLE, R.N. (Retired), or until further notice, with effect from the 26th June, 1936.

No. 575.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CLAUDE BRAMALL BURGESS to be Chairman, Urban Council, during the absence of Mr. RONALD RUSKIN TODD, or until further notice, with effect from the 26th Junc, 1936.

No. 576.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint THOMAS WALTER WARE, M.B., Ch.B. (Brist.), D.P.H. (Lond.), to act as Port Health Officer and Inspector of Emigrants, in addition to his other duties, during the absence on leave of JOSEPH PATRICK FEHILY, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O. (N.U.I.), F.A.C.S., D.P.H. (Belf.), or until further notice, with effect from 29th June, 1936.

No. 577.-The King's Exequatur empowering Mr. HOWARD DONOVAN to act as Consul of the United States of America at Hong Kong has received His Majesty's signature.
