ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899.

(MERCHANT SHIPPING).

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 39 and 42 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council hereby further amends Table U in the Schedule to the said Ordinance as follows:-

Amendments.

1. Regulation 41 is rescinded and the following regula- tion is substituted therefor :-

41. The licence fees to be charged for vessels in this class shall be half those provided for lighters and cargo boats.

2. The following regulation is added next after regulation 41:-

42. The licence fees to be charged for vessels under 15 piculs used exclusively in the waters adjoining the New Territories for attending fishing stakes (within the meaning ascribed by section 29 (1) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899,) and oyster beds and for shrimping shall be $1.00 and the licensee shall pay a further fee of 25 cents for number painting.
