ORDINANCE No. 40 of 1912. (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC REGULATION).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, the Governor in Council further amends the Vehicles and Traffic Regulations made under the said Ordinance and published as Government Notification No. 549 in the Gazette of the 19th July, 1935, as follows:

Amendments.

1. The following regulations are inserted immediately after regulation 98:-

98A. A fee of $1 is payable for each duplicate licence disc issued.

98B. Cattle or horses shall not be carried in any vehicle except under and in accordance with conditions in that behalf endorsed on the licence for such vehicle.

2. The following regulation is inserted immediately after regulation 99--

99A. Licence discs will be issued annually and periodically by the Inspector General of Police. Every private ricksha shall carry its current licence disc which shall be placed and carried in a suitable fitting at the rear of the vehicle above the number plate so as to be clearly visible and the writing thereon legible at all hours of daylight.

3. The following regulations are inserted immediately after regulation 100:-

100A. Licence discs will be issued annually and periodically by the Inspector General of Police. Every tricycle shall carry its current licence disc which shall be placed and carried on the vehicle in a suitable fitting SO as to be clearly visible and the writing thereon legible at all hours of daylight to a person either at the near side or at the front of the vehicle.

100B. (1) The overall width of a tricycle shall not exceed 3 feet 6 inches.

(2) The maximum net load to be carried on a tricycle shall not exceed 2 cwts.
