ORDINANCE No. 30 of 1933. (NAVAL VOLUNTEER).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Naval Volunteer Ordinance, 1933, the Governor further amends the Regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force made under the said Ordinance and published as Government Notification No. 822 in the Gazette of the 22nd December, 1933, as follows :-
Amendments.
1. Paragraph (2) of regulation 6 is rescinded and the following paragraph substituted therefor:
(2) Commissioned and warrant officers embarked in H.M. Ships will be required to have the following:-
(Undress Coat (Monkey Jacket).
Trousers, Plain, Blue.
No. 5 Undress
[Cap.
Regulation Blue Raincoat.
[Jacket.
No. 7 Mess Undress Evening Waistcoat, Blue.
Trousers, Plain, Blue.
The corresponding white uniform will be required.
The Senior Lieutenant and all officers of higher rank than Lieutenant will be required to have, in addition to the above, Frock Coat, Sword and Sword Belt.
2. Paragraph (3) of regulation 6 is rescinded and the following paragraph substituted therefor :---
"On ceremonial occasions, Officers must appear in the appropriate dress laid down for Officers, R.N., save in so far as the same is varied by these regulations. General regulations concerning the wearing of uniform, patterns, etc., are contained in the Quarterly Navy List."
3. Paragraph (4) of regulation 6 is amended by the substitution of the words "Regulation Blue Raincoat" for the word "Oilskin" in the list of uniforms.
4. Paragraph (5) of regulation 6 is amended by the addition of the words "Regulation Blue Raincoat" at the end of the list of uniforms.
5. Paragraph (6) of regulation 6 is rescinded and the following paragraph substituted therefor :-
(6) (i) Officers will be eligible for uniform allowances on the following scale :-
(a) On commission as or promotion to Sub-
