The rainfall for the month of January at the Botanical Gardens was (in. 70 on 5 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 0in. 54 on 4 days, at Fanling, Oin. 67 on 5 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, Oin. 61 on 5 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. ·963 at 16h. 00m on the 1st. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 46 miles per hour at 12b. 05m. on the 31st.
