The rainfall for the month of August at the Botanical Gardens was 7ins. 19 on 12 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 7ins. 17 on 13 days, at Fanling, 7ins. 16 on 11 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 5ius. 19 on 11 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 325 at 17h. 00m. on the 6th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 54 miles per hour at 17h. 58m. on the 5th.
